GRÖNA UDDEN

§ 1 Definitions

These terms are applied when a customer either books or cancels an activity covered by the terms at Gröna Udden in Mariehamn.

The activities covered by these terms include all forms of accomodation, products, services and arrangements made accessible, by Gröna Udden, for the customer to book through Gröna Udden's homepage on the Internet or through some other medium.

A customer is in this respect a juridical or physical person who books/cancels an activity through Gröna Udden's homepage on the Internet or through some other medium.

A booking is valid only after Gröna Udden explicitly confirms the customer's booking request with a message or a booking number.

The swedish version of the booking and cancellation terms is the ruling one. If any dissimilarities of terms between different language versions occur, due to e.g. translation mistakes, typing errors or linguistic nuances, the version written in swedish is always regarded to be the correct version and the one to serve as guide for all interpretation.

§ 2 Validity time and effect of altered terms

These terms are applied to bookings that have been confirmed and/or cancelled after the publication of the terms on the homepage www.gronaudden.com and are  valid until further notice. Cancellations of bookings confirmed prior to the publication of these terms on the said homepage are covered by previous terms.

Gröna Udden has the right to at any time change the booking and cancellation terms, yet the alteration of terms is not applied to bookings confirmed by Gröna Udden before the changes came into force. Such bookings are covered by the version of terms valid at the time Gröna Udden confirmed the customer's booking.

§ 3 Booking fee 

For bookings concerning high season, 21/6 to 21/8 during the calendar year, a booking fee may be collected. The booking fee will be counted in the customer's favour by full payment, but is not refunded in case of a cancellation. The purpose of the booking fee is to cover the costs of the work Gröna Udden has reserved for administration of the booking in case the customer cancels the activity. At cancellation, a cancellation fee may be collected under conditions mentioned below.

§ 4 Cancellation

Cancellation in general

A customer who is prevented from using a booked activity must immediately cancel their booking.

Cancellation earlier than three days before use of activity

For cancellation earlier than three (3) days prior to the date the activity, as stated in the booking, is to be used, Gröna Udden has the right to charge the customer for a sum equivalent to 10 percent of the price of the booked activity. The purpose of the cancellation fee is to cover a part of the additional work the cancellation causes Gröna Udden and the risk of not being able to sell the activity in question to another customer at the expected price. At cancellation, a booking fee may be collected under conditions mentioned above.

Cancellation later than three days before use of activity

For cancellation later than three (3) days prior to the date the activity, as stated in the booking, is to be used, Gröna Udden has the right to charge the customer for a sum equivalent to the price of the entire booked activity. At cancellation, a booking fee may be collected under conditions mentioned above.

No cancellation fee on presentation of medical certificate

On presentation of a valid medical certificate, no cancellation fee is collected for cancelling of activity. Gröna Udden has the right to collect a possible booking fee.

§ 5 Cancellation of activity not being used

Gröna Udden has the right to cancel the entire booked activity if the customer fails to take the activity into use on the start date stated in the booking. Any possible booking fee collected is retained and the customer is charged for a cancellation fee in accordance with the terms for cancellation of activity later than three (3) days prior to the date the activity, as stated in the booking, is to be used.

§ 6 Reimbursment for time left unused

The customer is not reimbursed for the value of days/hours left unused of a booked activity, which has been taken into use.
